Live Sound 2

Tech25's Live Sound 2 program is for those who are interested in working professionally in the live sound industry as a front-of-house engineer, monitor engineer, stagehand, and more. You will learn how to set up sound systems and stages, use mixing consoles to mix and route audio signals, work with professional musicians, artists, and production crews, and dive deeper into the world of live sound engineering.

Commit to the full program and earn a Certificate of Attendance, equipping you with the skills and knowledge for entry-level roles in the live events industry.

Tech 25's Live Sound II program is for those who want to take their Live Audio Engineering careers to the next level!  Learn the in's and out's of our array of digital mixers including Behringer X32's, Yamaha Dm3's, Allen & Heath SQ5's and SQ6 as well as their corresponding stageboxes.  Become confident with digital routing.  Learn valuable skills such as setting up and troubleshooting RF wireless receivers and transmitters.  Dive into concepts such as Dante networking, system measurement and tuning, system design, acoustic prediction softwares, deploying line array systems, and power distribution.  This class is designed to prepare students to be confident behind a digital mixer as well as introduce more advanced concepts and technologies.


Eligibility
Must complete Audio Basics and Live Sound 1 prior to applying to this program (ability to test out of this pre-requisite)

Students must commit for a total of (at least) 6 hours of class time per week for 4 weeks to earn a Certificate of Attendance.

Open to ages (18+ recommended) 

All experience levels and backgrounds welcome!


Live Sound 2 Program Goals
Knowledge of the following:

-How to set up a small sound system
-How to use an analog mixer to route signals
-Basics of electricity and power distribution
-How to prepare documentation for an audio gig
-Basics of signal processing and strategies for mixing live events

Upon completion of these classes, students will be connected with potential job opportunities and have the knowledge and skills to earn an entry-level position in the live events industry.
